Gilwell Park Scout Activity Centre is pleased to announce our first ever ‘Emergency Help Action Day.’ Working with Epping Forest District Council, we will be bringing an array of different types of emergency services to Gilwell Park. Over 30 teams from the emergency services will be taking part in the event, so not only will the main emergency services be attending but others such as Bomb Disposal teams, and Motorcycle teams too!

Each service will be displaying what they do as an emergency service. Some of these will be static displays, while others will be performing ‘live demonstrations’ in an arena.

From Simulators to the Police Horse Mounted Unit and from the Traffic Investigation Unit to Vintage Emergency Vehicles, there will be something for everyone.

The day is open to all sections of the movement and costs just £3.00 per person. The event starts at 10.00am and finishes at 4.00pm.

Light refreshments can be purchased throughout the day, although of course you may bring your own packed lunch.

This one day event is being held at Gilwell Park Scout Activity Centre, Chingford, London on 16 October 2010.
